First Fire

It is a rainy, chilly, and dreary Monday here. b has the day off, Angel is between jobs, and I'm working from home. After going out to our favorite diner for breakfast, b built a fire and I hunkered down on the couch with my laptop, lots of articles to read, and a cup of coffee.

I've been joined by Pupzilla (who has not had a good couch snuggle in a long time) and The Brute (who has already knocked all of my reading off of the coffee table). 

Right now b is in the kitchen cooking a big pot of pork-butt chili and watching the Big Lebowski (Pupzilla left the couch in hopes he will drop something) and Angel is walking to the local bakery to get a chocolate croissant.

I have many blog posts floating around my head. Posts about the state of my teaching, online education, what it takes to write, and the ongoing renesting saga. There is much I am thinking through in all of these areas and this is the space where I like to do that. However at the moment I'm enjoying the fire.
